House Freedom Caucus members sounded the alarm about Sharia Law

House Freedom Caucus members Keith Self and Chip Roy founded the Sharia Free America Caucus.

The group now counts 60 members among its ranks.

And recently, Self, and other Sharia Free America Caucus took to the floor of the House of Representatives to sound off on recent Islamic terror attacks.

“These attacks, clustered in just a few weeks, shows that the enemy are inside the gates,” Self said of one terrorist attack by a convicted ISIS supporter and Old Dominion University and a second Hazzbollah-inspired attack on a Michigan synagogue.

Self argued that America must reject the influence of Sharia Law because of how Islam views Christians as committing apostasy, which is punishable by death.

“We cannot allow that here in the United States,” Self added. “According to Islam, many non-Muslims like me are regarded as infidels, and many others who convert to Christianity or any other religion are labeled apostates. Both infidels and apostates are punishable by death in Islam.”

Self went on to say that Islam also served as a political movement that sought to replace the Constitution with Sharia Law as America’s governing code.

Self also said Sharia law represents a threat to the Constitution. “The American people demand that we stop an ideology seeking to replace the U.S. Constitution,” Self continued.

Congressman Roy then read from 1991 Muslim Brotherhood manifesto which laid out a plan for how Islam could carry out “civilization jihad” against a host nation and impose their culture and values.

“In order for the Islamic movement to become part of the homeland to which it exists, its movement must plan and struggle to obtain the keys and the tools of this process to carry out the grand mission as a civilization jihadist, a responsibility which relies on the shoulders of Muslims,” the memorandum read. “The process of settlement is a civilization jihadist.”

Roy told his fellow members that America faced this movement right now.

“What I’m here to tell you is that this, by what I just read, is that this is a political ideology that is designed to attack and take over our civilization, to carry out the civilization jihad I just described,” Roy declared.

Self doubled down on that sentiment arguing that Sharia Law did not seek to co-exist alongside other cultures in a pluralistic society.

“Sharia does not content itself through private practice. It demands eventual dominance over the host culture,” Self remarked.

Self, Roy and the other Sharia Free America Caucus members also argued that Sharia Law overtook European countries thanks to mass migration and social permissiveness.

They contend they formed this new caucus to oppose Sharia Law ever gaining a similar foothold in America.
