North Carolina Congressman, and House Freedom Caucus member Mark Harris tore into sanctuary city and soft-on-crime-policies for facilitating illegal alien crime in American cities.
Harris contended that illegal alien crimes against American citizens were the direct result of a policy choice
“It makes my blood boil seeing innocent individuals hurt by someone who should never have been here in the first place. These aren’t accidents—they’re the result of sanctuary city policies that protect criminals over victims,” Harris posted on social media.
Harris argued that Congress will “need to wake up and ensure there are no more victims like these,” asking, “How many more tragedies will it take? “ to spur legislative action.
A wave of illegal alien crimes swept across America and focused attention on soft-on-crime District Attorneys and sanctuary city policies.
“It will not be the last—it’ll be more,” National Border Patrol Council Vice President Art Del Cueto said in an interview with Fox News. “We do not know what their intentions were… and then you have people in this country that are perfectly comfortable with these individuals roaming around the streets.”

Congressman Harris pointed to this incident as proof that policies which block the deportation of illegal aliens seriously put lives at risk.
“In a premeditated and heinous act, 15-year-old Miles Young was targeted, lured, and ambushed—his life senselessly taken by someone who should never have been in this country,” Harris said in an interview with Fox.. “This heartbreaking tragedy is yet another example of sanctuary city policies’ deadly consequences.”
On social media, the freshman Congressman then listed his proposed policy prescriptions to end illegal alien crime which consisted of “Deport illegal aliens. Eliminate cashless bail. Keep criminals in jail.”

Congressman Harris maintains that sanctuary city laws and lenient District Attorneys are gumming up the works of an illegal immigration crackdown.
But Harris also asserts that Congress has a role to play and listed a series of legislative fixes for sanctuary city laws.
