Texas Congressman Brandon Gill Questions Witness On Gruesome Abortion Methods

Texas Congressman Brandon Gill questioned Jessica Waters, a senior scholar in residence at American University Washington College of Law, on abortion methods during a hearing about the FACE Act, a law which:

“prohibits the use or threat of force and physical obstruction that injures, intimidates, or interferes with a person seeking to obtain or provide reproductive health services or to exercise the First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship.”

The Biden administration arrested a number of Pro-Life activists for allegedly obstructing the entrances to abortion clinics.

President Trump’s Department of Justice indicted former CNN host Don Lemon and a group of protestors who entered a Minneapolis Church to object to the pastor’s work with ICE.

Waters told Gill that she wasn’t a medical expect but that “I’m an advocate for patients having access to the full realm of reproductive health care.

“But do you have a preferred method of abortion that you like?” Gill wondered,

Gill then began to describe a series of abortion methods and asked Waters if she approved of the procedure.

“The first type is called a ‘Suction Abortion.’ This is when the cervix is dilated and a strong suction, 29 times the power of a household vacuum cleaner, tears the baby’s body apart and sucks it through the hose into a container,” Gill began

“Do you prefer that method?” Gill inquired.

Waters declined to answer that question and reminded Gill that members of the committee called her to testify about the FACE Act.

Gill then asked Waters about a second method of abortion.

“What about this one: This one is called ‘Dilation and Curettage,’” Gill went on to say. “After dilation of the cervix, a sharp-looped knife is inserted into the uterus. The baby’s body is cut into pieces and extracted, often by suction.”

“Do you prefer that method?” Gill asked Waters.

Waters didn’t respond to Gill’s question.

Finally, Gill wondered about Waters’ about the “Saline injection” option offered by abortion providers.

“It’s when a 20 percent salt solution is injected through the mother’s abdomen into the baby’s amniotic fluid. The baby’s skin is burned off. The baby ingests the solution and dies of salt poisoning, dehydration, and hemorrhaging of the brain,” Gill said to Waters.

Waters continues to maintain she was before the committee to discuss the FACE Act.

Gill claimed Waters didn’t answer his questions because they made her uncomfortable.
